11th Green

Founded in 1899 by Stephen McCausland, Donaghadee Golf Club features a newly designed course, covering 18 holes, which is part 'links' and 'parkland' The course, whilst difficult, features little in the way of rough but there are several water hazards lurking to catch out the wary golfer. Finishing at the 18th, the out of bound areas are on both sides of the fairway, whilst the off shore sea breeze provides an extra challenge. Sited on the north eastly part of the Ards peninsula, Donaghadee offers stunning views from the 16th tee, out to sea and over to the nearby Copeland Islands and with Scotland in the distance. Full clubhouse facilities are available to refresh tried bodies.

A short drive east from the course toward the town will bring you past the ancestrial home of Bear Grylis. The town itself is home to one of Irelands oldest pubs 'Grace Neils" opened in 1611.
